Holafly has reworked its Plans subscription. There are now three tiers instead of two, the Unlimited tier picked up a phone number, and you can pay every three months or once a year for a lower monthly rate. Our code **ADAMANDLINDS** still takes 10% off Plans, and it stacks on top of the quarterly and yearly discounts rather than replacing them.

We run the Unlimited tier because three kids on iPads go through a lot of hotspot, so we sat down with a calculator before writing this. The prices below are in US dollars from Holafly's Plans page, checked in October 2026. If you already know which tier you want, [start on the Holafly Plans page](https://holafly.sjv.io/4aD5zr?ref=adamandlinds.com) and enter ADAMANDLINDS at checkout.

## What changed with Holafly Plans

Holafly calls itself the world's first international mobile operator, and Plans is the product behind that claim: one eSIM that works in 160+ destinations, at up to 5G speeds, for a fixed monthly fee. Until recently the choice was Light or Unlimited, both billed monthly. There is now a third tier on top called Ultra, and every tier can be billed monthly, quarterly or yearly.

The quieter change is on Unlimited. Plans bought on or after November 4, 2025 include a US, UK or Canadian phone number. It receives texts but does not send them, and calls run over VoIP rather than as ordinary cellular calls, so it will not replace your home number. What it does give you is a working number while your home SIM is switched off to avoid roaming charges.

Ultra costs $26.05 a month more than Unlimited and the data is identical. The extra money buys services rather than gigabytes: 24/7 chat with doctors in English or Spanish plus sessions with wellbeing professionals on one side, and on the other, Holafly handling your claims when a flight goes wrong or a bag is lost, delayed or damaged.

Light is the same eSIM with a 25GB monthly cap, and hotspot still works within it. It makes sense for a second phone in the household, or for anyone whose laptop spends most of its life on apartment Wi-Fi.

## Quarterly and yearly billing, and how the code stacks

Monthly billing is full price. Quarterly takes roughly 10% off and yearly takes roughly 20% off, and both are paid up front for the period. ADAMANDLINDS then comes off the already reduced price in the cart, so yearly billing with the code lands about 28% below the monthly list price, and quarterly with the code about 19% below it.

On Unlimited, twelve months at the monthly list price comes to $778.80. Yearly billing with the code brings that to about $561, which is roughly $218 back over the year. Holafly describes both discounts as approximate, so the cart is the final word: apply the code, look at the total, and only then pay.

## Which tier and billing cycle we would pick

We use Unlimited, and the hotspot is the whole reason. On a transfer day one phone is the internet for two laptops and three iPads, and a 25GB cap would not survive a week of that. Light is a fine product, just not for a family of five sharing one connection.

We spent May through early July this year based in Da Nang, which is exactly the shape of trip quarterly billing is built for. If you are travelling for about three months and then going home, quarterly gets you half the yearly saving without committing to a year. If you travel full time, as we have since 2022, yearly with the code is the cheapest way to hold unlimited data across 160+ destinations.

We have not paid for Ultra, so we cannot tell you how the doctor chat or the claims service performs. The decision is simpler than it looks: the data side is the same as Unlimited, so Ultra is only worth it if you would actually use the health and claims services. For a single trip shorter than a month, a destination eSIM is still cheaper than any Plans tier, and we cover that split in our [Holafly discount code guide](https://adamandlinds.com/blog/holafly-discount-code-esims-and-plans/).

## What to know before you commit to a year

The plan starts the moment you pay. Holafly's own FAQ says buying in advance does not schedule a later start date, so buy it the day before you fly rather than a week early. Each cycle runs 30 days and renews automatically until you cancel the renewal.

Switching tiers is not an upgrade button. Changing plans means cancelling the current one and buying a new one, which matters far more on a yearly bill than a monthly one, so settle the tier before you settle the billing cycle. The eSIM also cannot be moved to another device, so if a new phone is coming in the next few months, ask Holafly support how that works before paying for twelve.

Always On is what happens afterwards. When your plan ends or you cancel, Holafly leaves 1GB of free backup data on the eSIM every month, in more than 150 countries according to its Plans page. That is enough to land somewhere, book a ride and message whoever is meeting you.

## How to get the ADAMANDLINDS discount

## Holafly Plans questions

### Does ADAMANDLINDS work with quarterly and yearly billing?

Yes. The billing discount is applied first and the code takes a further 10% off that reduced price in the cart. On yearly Unlimited that works out to about $46.73 a month instead of $64.90.

### What is Holafly Ultra?

Ultra is the new top tier at $90.95 a month. It has the same unlimited data, hotspot and phone number as Unlimited, and adds 24/7 doctor chat, wellbeing sessions, and help with flight and luggage claims.

### Does Holafly Unlimited include a phone number?

Unlimited and Ultra plans bought on or after November 4, 2025 include a US, UK or Canadian number. It receives texts only, and calls go over VoIP rather than the normal cellular network.

### Do I keep my own phone number with Holafly?

Yes. The Holafly eSIM sits alongside your existing SIM rather than replacing it, and WhatsApp stays on your current number unless you change it yourself. We go through the setup in [our guide to keeping your number](https://adamandlinds.com/blog/do-you-keep-your-phone-number-with-holafly/).

### Is a Plans subscription better than a destination eSIM?

For anything over about a month, or any trip that crosses borders, usually yes. In Vietnam, for example, a 30-day destination eSIM costs more than a month of Unlimited, which we worked through in our [Vietnam eSIM guide](https://adamandlinds.com/blog/best-esim-vietnam-holafly-discount-code/). Our longer take on the subscription itself is in our [Holafly Plans review](https://adamandlinds.com/blog/holafly-plans-review/).

[Compare Holafly Plans](https://holafly.sjv.io/4aD5zr?ref=adamandlinds.com) and enter ADAMANDLINDS at checkout for 10% off on top of any quarterly or yearly discount. Check the cart total before you pay, since Holafly rounds its own percentages.
