Why am I not receiving texts on my original number?

3. The phone number that comes with one Holafly plan
This is the part that gets misreported most often, so here is the accurate version. Most Holafly products do not include a phone number at all. There is one exception, and it is specific.
- Destination eSIMs: data-only, no number.
- Light Plan: data-only, no number.
- Unlimited Plan: adds a dedicated number in the US, UK, or Canada. It can receive SMS only. It does not send texts and it does not make or take traditional calls. It is not a European or other local number.
So if the reason you want a number is receiving verification texts on a Holafly line rather than your home line, the Unlimited Plan is the only option, and even then it is inbound SMS only. For everything else, keeping your home number on a second line is the simpler setup.
Keeping your number vs getting a new local number
